Charity Prado is a San Diego native and has a B.S. in International Business, Operations & Supply Chain Management, and Management and a Professional Writing Certificate from California State University Long Beach. During her time in college, she was president of the management association, served on numerous boards, and completed five internships. As traveling and global business has always fascinated her, she interned in Madrid, Spain, studied abroad in China, and volunteered for various international non-profits. Her work experience spans corporate operations for top companies including Coca-Cola, Toyota, and Samsung Electronics with her area of expertise within operations planning and strategy. As her passion has always been to use business skills to create a positive social impact, she initiated and led groups to build the early social entrepreneurship ecosystem in San Diego, including heading the first Startup Weekend - Social Impact, a hackathon and conference inspiring social innovators. Most recently, she volunteered for six months in Uganda and founded several ongoing projects that are empowering disadvantaged women and youth in rural areas. Currently, she works for USC in their technology and innovation department and is a professional blogger for all things related to social entrepreneurship, global impact, and women in leadership.
